The Future Leaders Programme was a six-week pilot course facilitated by empowerment coach Dionne Lewis-Reid in partnership with Hyde. The course covered themes such as confidence, skills profiling, influencing skills, teamwork and leadership, as well as an introduction to social housing and resident engagement.
The participants of our first programme have been amazing and we’re confident that with their positive attitudes and desire to make a difference they will go far in life. Many of them are already doing some pretty inspirational stuff with their lives, some having overcome considerable hardships to do so.
From the beginning, the group gelled really well together, and they have encouraged and supported each other throughout the course. It has been a privilege to work with them and we’re so pleased that they are keen to continue working with us going forward to help influence and shape Hyde’s services for the benefit of all residents, through our resident engagement activities.
For their final session, our Chief Executive Peter Denton came to share some thoughts on leadership and we presented them with a certificate each and a copy of Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
We’re looking to run our second Future Leaders Programme in the New Year. If you would like to find out more, please register your interest at: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/FLPcourse2/
Congratulations to all the participants, this is an exciting development for resident engagement, and welcome to all. Looking forward to them sharing what they’ve learnt with the rest of us
Yes congratulations to everyone who took part - and I'm looking forward to working with you all in the very near future
